Iranian woman to be hanged after the Persian New Year holidays.
She is Fatemeh Haghighat pajoh (truth seeker!), who for protecting her 9 year old daughter from being raped (repeatedly!?) killed the men she was a sigheh to (sigheh means a temporary religious marriage). She has been in prison for nine years now and her previous sentence to hanging was postponed due to international pressure. The Islamic regime's corrupt Supreme Court has upheld her previous sentence.
Her daughter is urging the international community to prevent her execution.
In a country where the legal system, lawyers, and police are all corrupt and where citizens are not only unprotected by the system but are in fact subject to arbitrary punishments without justification, it is unjust to hang a mother who had no choice but to take the law in her own hands to protect her child from abuse and rape.
The killing is not a murder but only a manslaughter and she does not deserve to be hanged for protecting her daughter from getting raped.
